The Scientific and Technical Data Sector (STDS) is subordinated to Traffic Service of CFM. The sector stuff includes two engineers.
The STDS represent the only one of its kind in data collection on railway subject matter in the Moldova Republic and in the CFM activity.
The STDS stock contains about 31738 of data units. The data stock consists of normative statements, periodicals, and publications of CSRITEI of Russian Federation Railway's Ministry.
The STDS didn't publish its transport periodicals but utilized the materials published by CSRITEI of Russian Federation Railway's Ministry on based on a contract that applied by railway's specialists.
The widely utilization in work of data base of CSRITEI of Russian Federation Railway's Ministry including:
- The technical and economical working indices of Russian Railway, CIS and advanced development foreign countries;
- The railway's legislation database system.
The STDS has an opportunity to supply the railway's specialists with information of
other railway's database thanks to OSJD cooperation.
The STDS personnel summarize and extend to CIS railway network the practical issues
of Moldova's specialists. There is publishing information leaflets, information cards of the best streamlining proposal during the year.
The data of Moldova's railway experience are recorded to the CSRITEI of Russian
Federation Railway's Ministry database.
Monthly provides Information Day where new information and publications received are presented.
