Since 1989 there is Computerised transport information and documentation system in the Centre. It based on microcomputer techniques. The system plans single descriptions of basic documents generated by the department Centre, and multiple use of the above-mentioned description for editorial and information purposes.
Input data involve documentary description of:
books;
contents of technical magazines, both Polish and foreign;
project and research scientific works;
conference materials;
information descriptions such as translations and subject lists;
standards;
professional literature;
Own databases of the Centre include:
KOM - documentary descriptions of articles on problems of organisation and administration in the fields of transport, transport economics, co-operation of different means of transportation, technical transportation development directions;
LIBRA - current Acquisitions of the Main Library Transport fund;
CZAS - foreign and Polish journals held at the Library.
